:D Thanks! And yeah, giving birth to babies in the spring seems to be pretty popular. LoL. It must be the natural order of things. Hehe. ;)

Excellent news Krissy. As for motherly intuition well you have a 50/50 chance of being right, my mother's inution told her I was going to be a boy... even had the name mattew all lined up for me, then I poped out suprisingly female and they had to think of a name in a hurry.

Regardless of the baby's gender I'm sure you'll be wonderful parents. Hows the morning sickness comming along by the way? Gone yet?

Unfortunately, it's not gone yet. :( I've been throwing up on average once a day for over 6 weeks. The doctor I saw today thinks that that's too much, and that I should take meds for it, but I don't believe in taking medicine while pregnant. I haven't gained any weight like I'm supposed to, but I've also only lost a pound, and I'm still eating enough, and I'm able to keep down my prenatal pill each day. And, obviously, baby's doing fine. ^_^

I'm just now entering my fourth month of pregnancy (the way that works is weird, since 12-16 weeks is the 4th month, so really I'm only 3 months on the dot), and we had another checkup appointment today in which we got to hear the heartbeat. Jimmy recorded the baby's heartbeat with our digital camera, so you guys can hear it, too! :D

There are a lot of swooshy sounds that are my own heartbeat, baby movements, and just regular ol' body sounds, but the quick little heartbeat is the baby's!

My friend's midwife reckoned she could predict the sex of the baby depending on how the heartbeat sounded. She said that boy's hearts sounded like a train and girl's like rapid hoofbeats. She was right about my friend's little boy but still its a 50/50 guess heheh.

Bummer about the morning sickness, some women have it the whole way through others for just a few days. I can't fault you for not wanting to take meds while pregnant, there's some screwy stuff out there, even medically sanctioned meds can turn out to have previously unknown problems.

Take care of yourself Krissy, better yet get your devoted man to take care of you! :pawpaw:

Hehehe, my man is taking good care of me. :D He does the dishes, the laundry, mows the lawn, cooks me food, and has never complained once about all the complaining that I do.

Anyway, we recorded our baby's ultrasound today!!! :leaves: We discovered in the ER about two weeks ago that the baby is particularly active late at night, and so we were right in assuming that baby would be asleep this morning at 8. The ultrasound tech had to keep tickling my belly with the ultrasound wand to get baby to do ANYthing, and eventually he/she stretched and started moving around a little bit. We caught the stretch on camera! Be patient with our little babe, as it takes about a minute to see any good movement. He/she's sleepy. ^_^ Sorry about the poor youtube quality. I swear it doesn't look that bad on the camera.

Ha! Thats awesome. Your baby is like "leave me alone woman I'm sleeping!"
And it actually looks like a baby now and not a squid. Embryos are weird little things its almost hard to believe they end up looking like people after a few weeks. Good to know you and your little chestburster are doing well and that Jimmy is being very supportive. I'm sure you'll make great parents.

Quite a few babies are more active at night, I think its to do with the rocking motion when you're moving around during the day puts it to sleep and when you settle down at night it moves around. No so good for your sleeping pattern when it starts kicking the crap out of you at 2am  If it gets annoying I hear that getting up and walking around until it drifts off again helps. Though you're probably still at the stage where every kick is the coolest thing ever ;)

Haha! Yeah, I figure once I can feel the kicks, it'll keep me awake at night. I can't feel them yet. All I feel are occasional flutters that I'm not sure are gas or actually the baby. LoL. The book What to Expect When You're Expecting says that most first-time moms can feel the baby's kicks around 15-16 weeks, so not too much longer away now!

Yesterday was the first day of my second trimester, which makes me incredibly happy, as that takes me way down on the risk factor level. Most women, if they ARE going to lose their baby, it'll be during the first trimester. I know that it still does happen to women later on, but I feel more comfortable and assured that it WON'T happen. Our little bugger is strong to have made it this far through bleeding episodes and cramping (which have thankfully stopped occurring).

We haven't had to buy a single thing so far for the baby. We've been given a wooden baby changer, a crib, a stroller, a vibrating bouncer, a high chair, and a floor mat that baby can lay on which has an overhanging arch of toys. The only things which I have bought are a Winnie the Pooh baby blanket and a Winnie the Pooh bib. The nursery is going to be Pooh-themed (modern Pooh, not classic), and so I thought I'd at least buy the first themed items. ^_^

I just wanted anyone who's interested in my baby news to know that Jimmy and I have been able to feel kicks/punches for about a week now. :D It's so amazing! It actually freaked me out at first, because my initial reaction to feeling something bump off my hand was, "EEEGAD!!! There's somethin' MOVING in there!" :o Hahaha! But now it's just absolutely miraculous, and it awes us every time. The most active times of the day for the baby are usually between 8 and 11 p.m., which I don't think will be very pleasant for my sleeping schedule when the baby is bigger and kicking me in the ribs.

Anyway, for even BETTER news... We find out the baby's sex on December 9th!! My instinct says boy, and so does that hokey Intelligender test, so we shall see if both are right or not! The 9th feels so far away, but I'm sure with the approaching holidays, time will go along a little faster. ^_^

I haven't been around lately to update you all on our baby news, but we did find out the gender on Dec 9th, and as I predicted, we are expecting a baby boy!! Caleb Michael is his name, and I can't wait to see him! ^_^

We are extremely excited to be able to buy boy baby things and call our child by his name. Caleb likes to kick a lot, and it's not always comfortable. He enjoys pummeling my bladder, cervix, and rectum, and those DO NOT feel nice. They feel...weird. o_O

But when he's turned around with his back to mine, I can actually see my stomach jumping now where he's kicking! So cool! :D

Oh yes.. Here is my most recent belly shot, with the original for comparison (4 weeks compared to 22 weeks 4 days):

We've scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound for February 4th at 3 p.m., so we will be getting a DVD of the ultrasound showing our little man moving around and being adorable (if he's not sleeping, I hope, LoL) and also several colored photographs. I'm so excited! This will be our first *real* look at Caleb's face before he's out of me. I hope he has Jimmy's eyes, but I wouldn't mind if he has mine! In fact, I don't really care at all about how he looks---I just want to know how he looks! :p

So, you all can look for an update on that when it happens next month. We'll upload the video to youtube, and I'll get the pictures online.
