Personally, I like a bit of everything. I actually mean everything too.
I've noticed a bit of anti-rap here, but try listening to a group called Sweatshop Union (try too look out for a song called "The Thing About It"), these were the guys who certainly changed my opinion on rap music.
I also listen to a bit of dance/drum and bass when it suits my mood (usually riding street BMX), and I'd definitely say The Prodigy hold top spot for my favourite band in that genre.
I've got the odd bit of orchestra I listen to, a bit of ambient...well, a fair bit of ambient and I love my Bob Marley.
On the other end of the scale, I've got a fair few "Hardcore" gigs under my belt now. Bands such as Eternal Lord, Everytime I Die and Bury Your Dead.
I LOVE At The Drive-In and the whole experimental Post-Hardcore scene. Bands like Yourcodenameis:Milo and iForwardRussia! are fantastic.
I also listen to some softer stuff such as Fields and The Automatic (well their new stuff anyway since they got rid of the yelping guy off the first album).
I've got a special soft spot for Deftones too, for some reason I just LOVE them.
Oh, and a special mention goes out to Winnebago Deal for being THE most intense live band ever. There's only a guitarist and a drummer, but they can easily leave your ears ringing for a week. Watching them in a small intimate venue is pretty much like being locked in a room with two VERY pissed off wildcats. Just check this live video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i82gtFZCJec

But yeah, that's pretty much my music taste (well as much as I can write before completely going off on one). And it explains the 16gb of music which is killing the computer and the wall of CDs in my room.

I was recently introduced to a band called "Daft Punk". They're pretty good. They kind of reminds of 80's music sort of. But, the cool thing about them is that they made an anime for their record. It's a movie that plays only their music and no words, but you can still get a good idea that's going on by listening to the lyrics. I watched it all the way through and it was a pretty good movie.

I really suggest watching the movie (and listening to the music while you do so). It's called "Interstella 555", and it's all on Youtube for easy viewing.

Daft Punk are FANTASTIC!
I honestly love 'em. Their robot suits are pretty cool too.
Try looking for the album Discovery. It's their best by miles.

If you like their sound, try looking for a band called Digitalism too.

Yeah, I just saw a video of them in their suits for once and it looks pretty cool. And it also explains their sound. xD

I just discovered Deadsy. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! They are superb---my current new favorite band. I guess that they are no longer together, as one band member or another left, but their two albums (which I've promptly ordered off Amazon) are FANTASTIC! (That is, if you like new wavey rock/goth/metal...hehehe.)

I love almost every type of music (with the exception of really twangy country).

Recently I discovered E.S. Posthumus, a group that mixes classical with electronica. They do a lot of music for movie trailers (such as the new Sherlock Holmes flick).

Here, have a listen.
